There are moments in life, when you see something so profoundly wrong and evil, that you have no choice but to act…that’s how New Day for Children began. After meeting with law enforcement, and learning about the growing problem of child sex trafficking in the San Francisco Bay Area, our founder Jon Blankmeyer, along with a dedicated team, envisioned a haven for children recovered from sex trafficking and exploitation. In 2009, their dream became reality and New Day for Children was born. For the past 15 years, NDC has been providing Healing and Hope to American kids recovered from sex trafficking.
Today, New Day for Children is a nationally recognized, non-profit, 501(c)3 working collaboratively with eight vetted residential restorative care programs specifically designed to care for commercially sexually exploited children. These programs are located throughout the United States in California, Colorado, Texas and Louisiana. New Day is 100% privately funded by individuals, faith communities, business and civic groups. Through the support of our partners, we are able to provide these kids long-term safe housing, school tuition and tutoring, various types of trauma therapy, medical, dental and vision care, and so much more. NDC offers long-term support and mentorship if desired after a child turns 18 to help ensure a healthy and successful future.
